Our Products
Lake Mountain Ski Hire offers everything from the new state-of-the-art performance XC gear, to the classic snowplay gear and everything in between. We believe that having such a wide selection means our customers will have the best chance of finding the perfect skis or general Snowplay equipment for every snow occasion. Our staff are professionals who can give the best advice on the most appropriate equipment.
At Lake Mountain Ski Hire, we recognize the importance of using the best snow equipment to ensure your snow adventure is a success and have made great efforts to supply our customers with the best equipment possible. Our large range of sizes and fittings means we can accommodate for everyone.
Our difference is that we allocate one of our staff members to each customer immediately upon entering the store and will assist you with every aspect of the rental process, answering any questions that you may have along the way including those related to the differences between our products. Whether you are a first timer, a seasoned weekender at home on the black runs or taking time out with the family to have a bit of fun, we have it all for you! If you’re into cross country skiing, our expert staff will fit you out with our top quality equipment.
Chains
Lake Mountain Resort operates their chains system on a daily basis. This depends entirely upon the present road conditions and the weather forecast as to whether they are compulsory to be carried. The good news is that Lake Mountain Ski Hire can inform you of whether they are required to be carried or not. Just contact us on the day of your trip or pop in and we can give you all the information you need to know regarding chains.
Lake Mountain Ski Hire has the largest variety of chains sizes in the area. We stock the most user friendly chains to ensure our customers have the most effortless experience when having to fit snow chains. We provide every customer with an in house demonstration before they leave the shop. We understand that chains can be fairly daunting and will do everything possible to help you out in this area.
*Something to note!
Make sure you bring us your tyre dimensions so we can get the right chains for your vehicle. For example:
- the first measurement is width (e.g. 185)
- the second is tyre profile in percentage of width (e.g. 55)
- the third is rim diameter expressed in inches (e.g. 14)
So it should look something like this 185 /55 /R15.
